The Social Committee out did themselves again with a lovely sophisticated dinner hosted at Racine Restaurant , not far from Lake Canobolas, in the rustic Apple Packing Shed decorated with magical fairy lights. There was no special occasion, just a catch up with paddling friends. It was one of their special staff training nights so we enjoyed a three course set menu – ham hock, peas and onion jus, followed by kangaroo, red cabbage and cauliflower sauce then delicious pavlova with passionfruit curd, chocolate mousse and crumb – all washed down with some wines and beers (on a school night!). The chef also introduced each course. We then felt like extras on My Kitchen Rules as we filled out a survey with scores out of ten for food, service and ambience. Can’t wait to hear what our fun social committee plans next.
