A well attended September meeting on a sunny day at Lake Canobolas congratulated the Club on a $5,000 grant from Orange City Council for a new shed, discussed results of the Training Survey, establishing a COVID-19 Committee, congratulated Bron on her MPIO Certificate, gave updates on DB NSW Risk Assessment, COVID-19 Plans and highlighted the Lake Canobolas Master Plan.
DBNSW continues to monitor and work with the relevant agencies to ensure Clubs meet requirements and ensure members are as safe as possible. No member is required to participate if they feel it exceeds their personal risk tolerance level. Colour City Dragons have completed a COVID Safety Plan as requested by DBNSW and undertaken a survey of members regarding training during the COVID-19 global pandemic.
The latest NSW Health recommendations for community sport have been put in place for six weeks 19 August to 30 September. Existing regions (5) have been divided up into districts (only for the period in which these recommendations are in place) to assist in meeting NSW Health’s objective of reducing mixing and lowering the chance of community transmission. The districts relating to the Central West are: West A – Bathurst, Lithgow, Orange and Mudgee. West B – Forbes, Dubbo and Parkes.
Unless otherwise specified each district should keep to themselves and not participate in dragon boat activities and no overnight stays for regattas or events. Read more on the DBNSW website.
